Indoor Air Quality Testing

Testing (IAQ Testing) can inform you about the composition of air pollutants in your home or office. People spend 90% of their time indoors, so it is important to eliminate indoor pollutants that can negatively affect your health. Identifying the types of pollutants can help determine the proper steps and equipment to use to clean the air in your home or office.


The test involves collecting air samples and sending them to an independent lab for analysis. Testing can be IAQ only or IAQ plus mold testing. Results are typically available in 1-3 business days.

Indoor Air Quality Remediation

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has three primary recommendations for improving indoor air quality.

  1. Open windows throughout the home to exchange the air inside the home or office with fresh outside air.
  2. Install a higher MERV or HEPA rated air filter in your HVAC and change the filter monthly.
  3. Use portable air cleaners. Different types of air cleaners have different advantages and disadvantages and mitigate different pollutants. Air cleaners that emit ozone or other byproducts should be avoided.
